Hart's-tongue

Hart's-tongue Phyllitis scolopendrium

Holt, Norfolk, 21 January

Native. In fruit. This species has become much commoner on walls in north-east Norfolk in recent years. Perhaps the generally wetter weather has promoted an increase, or maybe it has merely recovered from losses caused by the very hot dry summers we experienced a few years ago.
