Perennial Knawel Scleranthus perennis
19 June
Native. Rather more colourful than Annual Knawel, this is a rare plant in Britain, with subspecies prostratus now confined to Breckland, and subspecies perennis restricted to Stanner Rocks in Radnorshire. It has declined somewhat in recent years, but has been (re-) introduced to several sites and is doing well in some of them.
